This suite of qualifications are related to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) developed by Skills for Care and Development and are designed for those learners who are interested in pursuing a career in Adult Social Care.
 
The qualifications provide knowledge and understanding and the development of skills that underpin occupational competence. They raise awareness of the Adult Social Care sector by highlighting the different roles and responsibilities of those who work within it, thereby helping learners to make informed career decisions.
 
The minimum age for learner registration on the OCNWMR Level 1 Award and OCNWMR Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, is 14 years.
 
The minimum age for learner registration on the OCNWMR Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is 16 years.
