Centre Recognition

In order to deliver any N/OCN unit or combination of units a provider has to become a Recognised Centre. Providers seeking Centre Recognition will be allocated a Business Development Adviser (BDA) to work with them throughout the process.

Centre Recognition involves the completion of a Centre Recognition application form which requires the provider to give a clear and strategic rationale for the delivery of N/OCN units or combinations of units. Once the documentation has been developed a Quality Reviewer is appointed to the Centre in order to check the systems and processes in place for the delivery of N/OCN accredited provision.

The Quality Reviewer will then submit a report prior to formal Centre Recognition being given. As soon as Centre Recognition is received a Provider may deliver, assess and accredit any unit from the Credit and Qualification Framework (CQF).

Ongoing support and training are available to enable providers to use their Centre Recognition and develop their curriculum in the most effective and appropriate manner in order to meet the needs of their target group of learners.
