Established as a partnership community project in 1999, Brushstrokes places special emphasis on supporting asylum seekers, refugees and newcomers in adapting to a new life in the UK.
Brushstrokes aims to provide practical assistance and to help realise the potential of each individual. Through befriending, listening, helping, and teaching of skills the Centre assists in the development of confidence and self-esteem.
Brushstrokes believes that by sensitively guiding each person into an awareness of available options, life choices are enhanced and lives empowered. In order to facilitate this, Brushstrokes works with a range of partner organisations and a team of dedicated volunteers.
Brushstrokes will be using OCN accreditation for their befriending and support courses.
