Careers Education and Preparation for Working Life Qualifications Extended and Amended

Extension

Ofqual has confirmed the extension of the following NOCN qualifications:

• Level 1 Award for Careers Education and Preparation for Working Life
• Level 2 Award for Careers Education and Preparation for Working Life

The accreditation end date for these qualifications is now 31.07.2012. Centres are requested to submit all learner registrations for these qualifications prior to this date. A precise deadline for receipt of registrations by OCNWMR will be provided as the deadline approaches.

The certification end date for the Level 1 qualification is now 31.07.2013; for the Level 2 qualification it is 31.07.2014. We will provide a deadline by which OCNWMR requires completed Recommendation for the Award of Credit forms as the certification cut-off dates approach.

Amendment

The titles of these qualifications have been amended from "NOCN Foundation/Intermediate Award for Careers Education and Preparation for Working Life" to "NOCN Level 1/Level 2 Award for Careers Education and Preparation for Working Life".

The qualification guide is currently being revised to reflect these changes.
